§ 01Overview
What the DS-2CD2386G2H-IU is
This Hikvision 8 MP 4-channel kit is a complete four-camera system for a home or small business, supplied ready to record. It brings together four DS-2CD2386G2H-IU AcuSense fixed turret cameras — each with a built-in microphone — and a four-channel DS-7604NI-M1/4P NVR with four built-in PoE ports. No hard drive is included (add one below to enable recording), so each camera connects on a single network cable and the recorder is set up to capture all four channels from the start.
The cameras are the heart of the kit. Each is an 8 MP (4K) turret with Hikvision AcuSense deep learning, which classifies human and vehicle targets so the system alerts on people and cars rather than on rain, shadows or animals, cutting down false alarms and making recordings easier to search. A 120 dB wide dynamic range keeps detail against bright backlight, and 30 m 850 nm IR covers the scene at night. These are -IU model cameras with a built-in microphone, so audio is recorded alongside the video, with an audio input and output available for an external microphone or speaker if needed.
A couple of honest notes so the kit is set up well. The cameras use Powered-by-DarkFighter low-light imaging, which means clean detail in dark conditions, but at night the image is infrared black and white, not full colour, so this is not a 24/7 ColorVu kit. The four-channel NVR has four PoE ports, which the four cameras fill, so to add more cameras later you would move to a larger recorder and a PoE switch. No hard drive is included — add one below to enable recording; a 4 TB drive gives generous everyday retention, and 4K HDMI output and H.265+ compression keep the picture sharp and the storage efficient.

Installation & setup
In the box
Four DS-2CD2386G2H-IU AcuSense turret cameras with built-in microphones, the DS-7604NI-M1/4P NVR (no HDD included — add a hard drive to enable recording), power supply and mounting accessories. A monitor is connected for local viewing.
Cabling
Run one network cable from each camera back to a PoE port on the NVR. Standard Ethernet runs apply, and a PoE switch can extend reach if a camera is far from the recorder.
Mounting
Fix each turret to a wall or eave covering an entrance, driveway or open area, within the 30 m infrared range, and aim using the three-axis turret movement.

Is everything included to get recording straight away?
Yes. The kit includes the four 8 MP DS-2CD2386G2H-IU AcuSense cameras and the four-channel PoE NVR — no hard drive is included (add one below to enable recording) — and each camera connects on one network cable and the recorder is ready to capture all four channels. You add a screen or use the mobile app to view.

What does AcuSense actually do?
AcuSense uses on-camera deep learning to tell people and vehicles apart from other movement such as rain, leaves or animals. That means the system alerts you to what matters, cuts false alarms, and lets you search recordings by human or vehicle events rather than scrubbing through hours of footage.

Do the cameras record sound?
Yes. The DS-2CD2386G2H-IU cameras have a built-in microphone, so the kit records audio alongside the video from every camera. Each camera also has a line-level audio input and audio output for adding an external microphone or speaker if needed.

Do the cameras show colour images at night?
Not at night. They use Powered-by-DarkFighter low-light imaging for clean detail in dark conditions, but the night image is infrared black and white, not full colour. For full-colour night images you would choose a ColorVu kit with white-light cameras.

Can I add more cameras later?
The four-channel NVR has four PoE ports, which the four kit cameras fill, so it is complete as supplied. To add more cameras you would move up to a larger recorder, such as an 8-channel NVR, and use a PoE switch for the extra ports.

How much footage will a 4 TB drive hold?
A 4 TB surveillance drive gives generous everyday retention for four 8 MP cameras, helped by H.265+ compression, which roughly halves the storage compared with older H.264. Exact days depend on motion, frame rate and quality settings, and you can fit a larger drive for longer retention.

Are the cameras suitable for outdoors?
Yes. The DS-2CD2386G2H-IU turret cameras are IP67 rated against dust and water in a metal body, so they suit outdoor walls and eaves as well as indoor positions, and the 30 m infrared covers driveways, yards and entrances at night.

All cameras, NVRs and DVRs come with a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Hard drives and accessories are covered as set out in our Warranty Policy.
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge. Do you offer installation?
